Usher & Chris Brown take R&B to No. 1 on Billboard's touring chart with “The R&B Tour”
$77.4 million, 423,000 tickets, 10 shows — and a first for the monthly Boxscore report.

Anybody still saying R&B can't sell arenas can sit down. Usher and Chris Brown's The R&B Tour topped Billboard's monthly Boxscore report for September, grossing $77.4 million and moving 423,000 tickets across just 10 shows.
Billboard says it's the first time co-headliners have shared No. 1 since the monthly chart began in 2019, and it's Usher's first monthly No. 1. Context matters, and some outlets have pointed out September's winning total sits below July's and August's leaders. Fine. Ten shows, nearly half a million people, a genre name right there on the marquee. That's still a statement.

It also lands in a week where the R&B calendar is stacked: a festival in Dallas, B2K's reunion album on Friday, Snoh Aalegra next week. The money and the music are pointing the same way.
