Blaqbonez & Asake top the Official UK Afrobeats Chart with “IKEBE 3000”
Blaqbonez's first No. 1 on the Official UK Afrobeats Chart, with Ayra Starr and Zayn right behind. Plus: Omah Lay gets Gunna for Clarity of Mind (Extended).
Blaqbonez and Asake's "IKEBE 3000" climbs from No. 2 to No. 1 on the latest Official UK Afrobeats Chart, in its fourth week. It's Blaqbonez's first chart-topper there. Ayra Starr and Zayn's "Heaven Baby" slips into the runner-up spot.
It's a perfect pairing. Blaqbonez brings the mischief, Asake brings the chant, and UK Afrobeats fans have clearly been running it back for a month.

Meanwhile, Omah Lay expanded his album into Clarity of Mind (Extended) on Friday, October 30. It now runs 16 tracks, with new songs including "Keep Going", "Back to Lagos" featuring Gunna, "Take" featuring France's Tiakola and "Holy Ghost Fire". Gunna over a Lagos bounce is the one getting the replays in our office.
Same Friday, Tiwa Savage dropped "African Baddie". The Afrobeats pipeline into R&B playlists has never been wider.
